Each passing day we must take the opportunity to pray, praise and thank the Lord.
The Bible says in Matt 26:40,41 what the Lord requires of us.
And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?
Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
We have received the salvation of God, we are His people and His name has been given in our lives. The Lord wants to do mighty works in our lives. It is not that we study, work then get married , settle and pursue life like the others. The Lord desires to do much more than these in our lives. We who have been blessed are His people and the Lord knows that He can do mighty things in our lives. We must not rest in comfort with the blessings that He has given us but we must go ahead. The Lord desires to do much more mighty works in our lives. We are the people who carry His name. He dwells with us and so He is able to do mighty works in our lives.
As the above verse says, the flesh is weak but the Spirit which He has given us after delivering us from bondage, the Spirit which He has given us after sacrificing His life, this Spirit is living today. It never becomes weak, never fears and never tires, nor is silent. It bubbles in the soul of the believer.
Now after the Lord saves us, blesses us and separates us from this world then we must not eat, drink and become lazy. Then we may fall into temptation. So the Lord says in the above verse to pray at all times as we have been saved. The Bible says in Deut 33:29
Happy art thou, O Israel: who is like unto thee, O people saved by the LORD, the shield of thy help, and who is the sword of thy excellency! and thine enemies shall be found liars unto thee; and thou shalt tread upon their high places.
The Lord's salvation is a great blessing in our lives which cannot be purchased. The Lord gave His life on the cross, defeated the devil on the cross and then gave us this salvation and this grace. This salvation can only be found in Jesus Christ. All those who have received this grace are blessed people. We are the people whom the Lord has chosen and separated from the crowd. He has delivered us from bondage, evil, sin and all the filth of this world and given us this great salvation. So we are blessed and can do many things in His name.
To give us this grace the Lord has defeated the devil on the cross. Let us read Is 59:1. Here the Bible says that He is the king of Salvation.
Behold, the LORD's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
Even after receiving His salvation, His blessings and being delivered from bondage, we become weak in our bodies, and are broken in faith. We become dead in sorrow. But when we call unto the Lord then He delivers us from all evil, because His ears are not heavy nor His hand is shortened.
Peter was with the Lord and he followed the Lord. But as he walked on the water and saw the wind boisterous he started to sink in the water. As he sank he called out to the Lord. The Lord did not forsake him as He is the King of salvation. Immediately He stretched out his hand and lifted up Peter who was sinking in the water. This is our God who is our God even today. Even when we spent an hour in prayer then we are the most blessed people. We are the people who are saved, who know that His ear is not heavy and His hands are not shortened. So when we call out to Him in our sorrow and difficulty then as the Lord lifted up Peter in the same way He will also lift us and make us to stand.
The Bible says in Ps 68:20
He that is our God is the God of salvation; and unto GOD the Lord belong the issues from death.
The Lord can deliver us from our enemies, from the devil and from evil people. He not only gives us salvation but also saves us from death. He saves us from sin and from all the cunning schemes of the devil that tries to destroy us.
HE GAVE HIS LIFE TO GIVE US LIFE
Our life is not complete after receiving His salvation, His blessings and after we become His family. Everyday we need His mercy and His love in our life then we can live a life which takes us to everlasting life. The Bible says in Jn 6:53
Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
To give us life the Lord has given His blood and His body. So we have to be worthy to come to the table in the name of the Lord. He will not only give us life and salvation and leave us. He has given His life to give us life. When we are not in oneness with what the Lord has said then there is no life in us. We have to fully believe that to give us life He has given His flesh and blood on the cross at calvary, so that we may have everlasting life. He is the God of our salvation. He has given us His blood and His body, so that we may not die and have life. What ever may be the evil, sin or sorrow we may be in, when we call upon the Lord then He will hear our cry. Once again He will give us His salvation, blessings and deliver us from darkness and give us a new life through His blood and His body. The Bible says in Ps 106:5
That I may see the good of thy chosen, that I may rejoice in the gladness of thy nation, that I may glory with thine inheritance.
The Lord came into this world to give us His salvation. We can today continue to meet the Lord when we are one with Him in His body and in His blood. So every time we come to the communion table we must prepare our self that we may meet Him and be one with Him. He has come to give us His grace and His salvation but we have to be one with this always. The people who have received salvation from the Lord cannot be compared to the people of this world. Those who have received His blessing and His grace cannot be compared to the people of this world. The Lord is with such people and not with the people of the world. The Bible says in Num 23:21,22
He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel: the LORD his God is with him, and the shout of a king is among them.
God brought them out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn.
God is with the people who have received grace and salvation. The people of this world cannot be equaled to Gods people. They have the strength of a unicorn and it is God who gives them wisdom, knowledge, strength and might. So to receive more grace and His salvation we have to pray more. Apart from our normal prayer we have to pray more. For in the worldly way where we are weak that is where we will be attacked by the devil. Once again the Lord is giving us the grace to read these words. The devil knows our weaknesses and how we are not keeping His Word. That is where he will attack us. That is why the Lord says that the flesh is weak but to keep praying in the Spirit. After we receive His name in our life then we have to receive His body and blood to receive His life. When we are not worthy then we cannot receive His life into our lives. We are blessed people as His Word says and He has given His life for us and the Lord wants us to be worthy to receive it.
YOU ARE SEPARATED AND SPECIAL
We are His chosen ones, having received salvation and delivered from bondage, evil and sickness. The Lord has saved us in many ways. So to be bound to the Lord in this new life we have to be in oneness with the Lord everyday. The Bible says in Deut 7:6
For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.
The Lord has separated us from the filth of this world and He has made us His beloved people. Once upon a time we were with our large families but now after the Lord has chosen and called us and separated us then we have become a separate people for Him. We read testimonies of great servants around the wolrd who have been separated from their sin, evil and from families and brought by the Lord into His service. So we become the blessed people of the Lord. In those born of my mother I believe that I am more blessed than the others. So the Lord separates His people and blesses them one by one. The Bible says in Deut 7:7-15
The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people:
But because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.
Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;
And repayeth them that hate him to their face, to destroy them: he will not be slack to him that hateth him, he will repay him to his face.
Thou shalt therefore keep the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which I command thee this day, to do them.
Wherefore it shall come to pass, if ye hearken to these judgments, and keep, and do them, that the LORD thy God shall keep unto thee the covenant and the mercy which he sware unto thy fathers:
And he will love thee, and bless thee, and multiply thee: he will also bless the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy land, thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep, in the land which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee.
Thou shalt be blessed above all people: there shall not be male or female barren among you, or among your cattle.
And the LORD will take away from thee all sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which thou knowest, upon thee; but will lay them upon all them that hate thee.
After the Lord separates us and saves us then we must be bound to Him. Then the Lord will fill us with His blessings. He will not add any of the sickness of the Egyptians. This is a great blessing from the Lord. The Lord wants to show us as a separate people in this world. He gives us His salvation, blesses us and keeps us away from these sicknesses, when we walk in obedience and are bound to Him. We can read this in Deut 7:8,9.
He will keep His truth and mercy with us for a thousand generations. When we forget His love, His calling, His salvation and His blessings then the Lord is angry and we loose His salvation. The Lords people cannot be equaled to the people of this world. The worldly people will remain in the bondage, evil and sickness. But as we have found a new life in Christ, He then bears our sorrows and our burdens. The Lord will not allow any of those sicknesses to come upon us. This is His love towards His people. So for us to receive a life of praising Him, and a life of salvation we must always be one with His body and His blood so that we may receive His life. As the Word also says, if we receive His body and blood unworthily then we may fall sick and also die. We have to prepare ourselves. So we have to keep on praying as the flesh is weak and it sways in its own way but only the Spirit can keep it under control. So if we keep the flesh under control and be prayerful, and be one with the body and the blood, then none of the sicknesses of this world will come upon us. Hallelujah !
The Lord will give the sickness to the wicked, to those who forget His love and are not one with Him, those who do not receive life through His body and His blood. The Lord always desires to fill us with His blessings. He says that we are not ordinary people, as we have received His life in us, so we can do greater works than what He has done. We must prepare ourselves. Even though we have faced the enemy in the past, still the Lord wants us to prayer more. At times when there are continuous messages to be given then I desire some rest. But the Lord says that this is nothing and we can do greater works than these, only we have to watch and pray. We have to watch and pray. We may be weak in the flesh but through the Spirit we can do greater things than the Lord. We are not ordinary people, we are more mighty than the people of this world. The Lord wants to give His power in all our lives. That is the reason the Lord says to watch and pray and to become one with His body and His blood, so that we can be one with Him. Jesus said in Jn 15:16
Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
As the above Word says, the Lord has chosen us and brought us out of bondage and washed us with His blood, and given us new life so that we can bring forth much fruit in our life. Our God is such a loving God. He desires all of us to be mighty. He wants all of us to be filled with wisdom in His name.
GOD CHOOSES THE FOOLISH
Let us read in 1 Cor 1:27,28 the kind of people that the Lord chooses.
But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:
The Lord chooses the foolish things of the world, and gives them wisdom to bear fruit. Once upon a time we all were such people without wisdom, in bondage and we were evil. There was no one to save us. But the Lord has chosen us according to Jn 15:16. The Lord chose the foolish things to confound the wise. So that one cannot say that with his wisdom he got the victory. It is not by my wisdom but by His wisdom that the Lord has sustained me these four years to Pastor the Church and conduct the services giving the heavenly manna. It is only by the Lords wisdom that I was able to conduct all house meetings, other prayer meetings and the Saturday and Sunday Services. The Pastor has to bring new fresh manna every time He comes to the pulpit This happens by His grace, His love and by His power. So to get this wisdom in the years ahead the Lord says to watch and pray. To see greater things happening we have to watch and pray. Our body may be tired but the Spirit in us can do greater works than the Lord. The Spirit that the Lord has given can do greater works than what the Lord has done, because that is the Spirit He has given us after defeating the devil on the cross.
In the earlier days the Lord loved the children of Abraham. But in the New Testament He loves all those who are washed by His precious blood. His love is upon those who have been delivered from sin and from bondage. If we see we were unclean people who lived in sin. Our forefathers were not from the lineage of Abraham. We sought God in nature, in the sea and in different ways. But our loving God came seeking for us and delivered us from our sin and our bondage's and today He loves all of us. He has made us the family of God. As He loved the Israelites in the same way, today He loves those who are washed by His precious blood. So we must know that we are not ordinary people. We are not like the people of this world, we are blessed people who have been saved. We can stand in His name and do many mighty works as written in 1 Cor 1:27,28.
THE LORD QUENCHES OUR THIRST
He will wash us with His blood, make us wise and remove every thirst from our lives. The Bible says in Is 43:20
The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen.
The Lord has quenched our thirst. The rivers which flowed from the throne of God in the garden of Eden has quenched our thirst. He has shed His blood and quenched our thirst. We read this in Rev 22:1
And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
And where ever this river flowed there was gold. The Lord had invited the people to Him in Jn 7:37,38. We have all come to the Lord and He has taken away our thirst. He has opened the rivers from the throne of grace and quenched our thirst. He has quenched the thirst of His people on the cross of calvary.
In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.
He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
The Lord has called us and as we have heard His cry, have gone to Him, have received His salvation and His mercy, we are not thirsty people today. Today also if we have not received salvation, if we have not received life from His body and His blood, and even today if we have not received His Holy Spirit, then even today the Lord is calling us as mentioned in Is 55:1
Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
Today also there are many in this world who have not received salvation and known the love of God, and have not become one in the body and blood of the Lord. Even today the Lord is calling such people to the waters, to Himself, to quench their thirst. There is no need for money or wealth. It is a life that the Lord has given for you and for me. Today also lovingly He calls us. We may say that we believe on the Lord and receive life by partaking in the body and blood of the Lord. But has our thirst been quenched. Even today we must hear His voice and come to Him, we must come to the Living waters.
Today also He has got the power and the might to quench our thirst by giving His Spirit. We can receive this freely. We have to receive Him. We also can be filled with His wisdom, knowledge, power and might. So even today we can live in this world without any sickness, and can receive eternal life. We will not be like the people of the world but will become mighty and do mighty works. Today the Lord is calling out to the thirsty. Those who are thirsty for His blessings, thirsty to do mighty works for Him, thirsty for receiving His healing. The Lord calls all of them to Himself as He can give them what they need. So even today in one mind we have to accept the Lord into our lives. Then through out the days ahead the Lord will fill us with His strength, wisdom, knowledge and such blessings that people will wonder if we are the same person. They will wonder seeing the change in our lives. We will not become the tail but the head. You will be able to counsel the people, you will be able to be a leader to guide the people in a program, you can become a prayer leader, and in many different ways the Lord can make you the head. Only we have to submit ourselves to His hands saying that we are thirsty, ' Yes Lord, I am thirsty to receive your blessings, fill me with the rivers of waters as I desire to have eternal life in you, Lord make me something this year. When we ask in this manner then He will definitely fill us with the Holy Spirit. The Bible says in Ps 36:8
They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.
The Lord will satisfy us in His temple where we can receive His Holy Spirit. First the Lord gives us strength and fills us through His manna which is His Word, which is Jesus, then He will fill us with His Holy Spirit and will quench our thirst. So we must remember that without the Lord, His Word, without HIs Spirit and without His blood and His body there will be no life in us. Without this our life will be dead and we will live a life of sorrow, of sickness and without peace. This is not life. The Lord has given us all a joyful life. With His blessings He never adds any sorrow. To give us such a blessing, joy and peace the Lord is calling all of us today.
THE LORD DWELLS WITH HIS PEOPLE
Even today He desires to walk and be with us. He desires to be one with us, because He is alive even today. The Bible says in 2 Cor 6:16
And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Today also the Lord desires to walk and be with us, and He joys to be with us. So we must become the temple of God. We are the chosen people of the Lord. We are people in whose life the Word of God is working. After becoming His temple and having received His life into our life, we are the people called to live a joyful life. The Bible says in Lev 26:12
And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be my people.
The Lord will walk in our midst and we shall be His people and He shall be our God.
When Balaam came to curse the Lords people, the Lord told him ' you cannot curse my people, as they are blessed people and I walk among them.' So nothing will come against the Lords people. May be for ten days you have problems but then the victory will be the Lords. In the war between the devil and the Lord we are only a vessel. In one instance when there was war between the Lord and the devil , Job was a vessel. Job chose the Lord and started to get victory. The war was not between Job and the devil but between the Lord and the devil. Job was only a vessel. The Lord Himself had reminded the devil saying ' Have you seen my servant Job who is perfect and upright'. The Lord wanted to defeat the devil and to show that His children are blessed. The Lord wanted to show that His children had His life in them. Job chose the Lord and He got the victory. So we are all vessels. We have to stand in Him and the victory comes from the Lord and you and I get eternal life. Did Job fall away from the Lord when He faced sorrow and difficulties? We see that He did not, and he received a double portion of the blessings in his life. He got more beautiful children than before. He received everything in double measure.
When Balaam came to curse Israel the Lord did not permit it. Let us read Num 24:1
And when Balaam saw that it pleased the LORD to bless Israel, he went not, as at other times, to seek for enchantments, but he set his face toward the wilderness.
The Lords love is upon His people and they are the ones who have received the salvation of God. Balaam understood this and he turned and went away.So whatever may be the work of the devil in our lives everything is nullified by the Lord. We are His people who have got the victory. The Lord will never allow His people to be put to shame. The Bibles says in Joel 2:27
And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the LORD your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed.
If we be with the Lord and continue to receive His life then we will never be ashamed because the Lord is with us. He walks with us and is in our midst. We have received His salvation and have been chosen by Him, we are His blessed people. No evil or curse can come against us. No sickness of the world will come upon us. We will be joyful and never be ashamed. Let us remember this. Every Word of God is living. Our God has not changed, His love has not changed and His works have not changed. We are the people who change in many different ways. But the Lord loves us all. He says that we have not chosen Him but He has chosen us. So we have to continue in prayer being one with the Lord, as the devil of this world is a roaring lion. He will attack us in our weak areas. When the lion chases its prey it will not catch it from behind but will close the jaws on the neck, and then draw out the entire blood before it leaves the prey. In a similar way the devil knows where to attack us. So we have to be strong in His name and in His Word. So when we be with Him, partake of the body and the blood in a worthy manner to be one with Him, then we will receive His life.
